The sad things and very little good things left about college football. Sad things start early for most of these so call future stars of college football. In today's world with all of the opinions these colleges have in keeping up with these players it is one of the major things wrong with todays society. First these assistance go to these high schools and first talks to the head coach who is first a teacher and gets very little extra money for coaching football. Here comes the gifts free athletic gear amd maybe free tickets to games or I imagine in some cases if the player is rated high money. Then it is up to the assistance to get the head coasch on his side to pesaude the player to attend his school. The major problem for a lot of these kids they come from families who have nothing and it makes their job a lot easier. It makes me sick when you hear them tell players you can be drafted in the first round if you come here and play because we are on tv alot. Then there are those visting trips to the school. Dad and Son are treated like royalty put up in the finest hotel in town and with a little sweetie if you want it. After they get there they are treated well if they are among the elite on the team money cars and etc. And another sad thing is that if you are not one of the elite you could dump like yesterdays cabbage and forgotten. And another thing is that alot of them don't attemd class so if you haven't your kick out also and nothing to do except get a job and your drean is over. It will never ever change because of all that money out there for all of these schools to make. I just wish someone would tell these kids the truth there is a very low percentage of these players that make it to the NFL and those years are very short.
Now the good thing about college football and their players that are still schools out there like ND, Northwestern,Stanford, Vandy and others who put academics first like it should be at all schools. Let stand up and shout and cheer for these schools. Yall have got it treat them like people not like a piece of meat.
