Call me crazy, but I'm hoping that LeBron James gets his first ring this year. No, I'm not a bandwagon fan. No, I'm not a Heat fan. Yes, I am a LeBron James fan.
I don't why, but I like the guy. Maybe because I feel bad for him with all the haters and all the LBJ jokes. Either way, people don't know his story.
LeBron James is one of the best players to ever play the game and people don't embrace it. He's actually one of the most hated players in the league (I say close second with Metta World Peace at the helm).
I'm surprised that Kobe isn't hated as much. He's committed serious felonies (sexual assault). He badmouthed his hometown of Philly and even denied growing up in the city. He screwed Philly over. I'm from Philly which is partially why I hate Kobe. I love him as a basketball player but hate him as a person (same goes for a hometown player like Mike Vick).
People claim to hate LeBron because of "The Decision" back in 2010. That wasn't even where it all started. His first criticisms were drawn in the '07 playoffs when we refused to sign a petition.
I think people honored him for sticking with that sad, sad team of Cleveland without help, and without a ring, but no one put themselves in his shoes. He's a super-star! Don't you think he wants to win, too? Don't you think he would like some help so everybody doesn't have to rely on him?
Everybody (before the whole hating-LeBron thing started) associated his name with greatness. But now, G-dforbid, if someone does it, they are called crazy because the "haters" are too caught up with hating him to see how good he truly is.
People are starting to misunderstand the concept of teamwork. LeBron needs a team, and with the Heat, he has a reliable group of stars, a reliable group of role-players, and a reliable bench. It's a full-depth team. He has what he's looking for, now he's going to get what he desires. A championship.
Call me crazy, but I'm hoping that LeBron James gets his first ring this year.

Good article!
Can you edit it so the text is spaced, though? Because it'll be easier to read.

Yeah, certain browswers don't work well with FanNation's blogging function. It's a pain in the a sometimes.
Anyway, nice article. Glad you got your wish.

I share your sentiments.
There's too much hate in this world. And hating LeBron for 2+ years over the 'Decision' just feels petty.
If the worst mistake of his off-court career involved generating over $3 million for a children's charity, I can live with that.

It seems was pretty successful thus far. I think I'm gonna continue it!
