Red Wings, Tigers win; Pistons get run out of the Palace

Wow. The Red Wings dominated last night. They impressed me, for sure. 5-0? I predicted the Ducks would take the momentum from their OT win and take Game 3 at home. I didn't take the Tomas Holmstrom factor into account. Or, how about the lineup changes made by Mike Babcock? Or how about the total change in intensity from the Red Wings? The hit on Holmstrom by Pronger and Niedermeyer was flat out dirty...more on Pronger's part. Anyone could see that he took a good five-stride run at Holmstrom. He should be suspended at least a couple games for that. I don't know how he escaped a penalty last night. The Tigers took care of business behind Justin Verlander last night. Magglio continues to light it up against some of the top teams in the AL. It's too bad tonights game was canceled ??? I was looking forward to see Mike Maroth pitch the way he has been going lately against that Red Sox lineup. I guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow, in a day-night doubleheader. Big day for the Tigers...if they sweep it will definitely send a statement, especially with it being in Boston. But we'll just have to wait and see... The Pistons- not much I can write about the game last night. Flat out horrible. It looked like they thought if they just showed up, the series would be over. Guess what, Detroit? Chicago's got a pretty good team too...They looked like the aggressor and the more experienced team last night. But let's face it, they're not going to shoot over 70% again. Not going to happen. So as long as the Pistons find a way to score against Ben Wallace in the lane, they should wrap it up in 6. We'll see tomorrow night.
