AFC
Division Winners:
North : Ravens : McGahee, McNair, and Clayton have it taken care of on offense, and the defense is always good. Bengals are their biggest threat.
South : Colts - Peyton Manning still has Harrison, Wayne, Clark, and Addai. They will be able to handle Tennessee, who is their biggest threat.
East : Patriots -Probably the safest choice. Barring any Randy Moss meltdown, which causes Tom Brady to have a stroke, they will end on top.
West : San Diego - Still have all their playmakers, and will be even better with an experienced Rivers.
Thoughts : I just realized that these are the division winenrs from this past year, but they seem the obvious choices.
Wildcard
1 : Titans - I think Young can break the Madden Curse, he's young, mobile, resilient, and tough. He can lead them to victory, as long as his running game pans out...
2 : Jets - Pennington just has to be a finesse passer, which is what he is good at. Cothery has come one big, Coles is outstanding, and D'Brick and Mangold will continue to get better. On the defense, they added Revis and Harris, two outstanding players who can contribute immediatley.
NFC
Division Winners
North : Bears - Such a weak division with the Packers, Vikings, and Lions. Still could be challenged by the Packers who had a good year last year.
South : Saints - I picked the Saints last year when no one even thought about them. They continue to improve thanks to a great GM. Brees lost Horn, but Devery Henderson has stepped up with Marques Colston, along with Robert Meachem (Thanks), they will still be potent (Don't forget about Bush and McAllister).
East : Eagles - It pains me to say this, but McNabb is out to prove he's not fragile and can lead a team. This is a close call for McNabb though, he lacks WRs. The defense will be sound, they won't win or lose games for them.
West : 49ers - Alex Smith has really come out, now he has Darrell JAckson to add to his repertoire. Gore will only continue to get better in the prime of his career.
Wildcard
1 : Giants - Will lose some games they should not have, and will fall beneath the Eagles. Manning has a QB coach who got Frerotte to the Pro Bowl, so he's in good hands and will learn to step into his throws, instead of throwing off his back foot.
2 : Cardinals - I'm going out on a limb here, but their line is improved, and look how that helped the Jets last year. James can actually have a hole to run through, and Leinart won't have to worry about his blind side. Fitzgerald and Boldin, well, I'm not worried about that.
You may wonder why I talk mostly about offense, well I live by the old adage: "Offense wins games, defense wins championships." The Colts "D" stepped up in the playoffs, and the Bears' defense got them there, and the Ravens and Bucs won with below average offenses.

This was good. But the Saints didn't draft Sidney Rice, that was the Vikings. New Orleans picked Robert Meachem in the first round.

Broncos have a shot at beating out the Bolts in the AFC West, therefore one of them will get a WC spot. The Cardinals prediction is insane. Panthers, Seahawks, Cowboys are better off for the WC than them.

I'm a huge Fins fan. Hello my brother! BUT.... Can we play a pre season game first? We still don't know if Penningtons arm is going to pop out again...... Doesn't matter. Pats are prohibitive favorites until proven otherwise.

Yo Momma, thanks. My bad, I changed it.
I went with the Cards because of potential, and they now have a very good coach at the top to push them to the next level. Their line is better, and that is the consensus as to why they weren't very good. Their defense is key to winning the actual playoff games, but getting their is the topic for discussion. As for the Seahawks, they gave away their best receiver (Darrell Jackson) to the 49ers, a division rival. Alexander still has a broken foot, and I just don't think they have what it takes.
Now I may be a little biased, but I try to be as objective as possible. I don't think Romo is a good enough QB to lead them to the playoffs. He hasn't showed me anything. Even after Strahan got injured and the Giants had no players, and their secondary was bad, Romo still threw multiple INT's (3 I think). There some issues at RB, Jones is in his last year and there have been trade talks, and Barber is in his last year too. And thanks, at least partly, to T.O., the cowboys lost the coach that gave them to best chance to win. Parcells built this team that so many Cowboy faithful seem to think will win the big show.
The Panthers have a QB controversy. Delhomme stunk at the end of the season, and Carr is better. Every ignorant critic seems to think that Carr was a flop, but that was only the sound they heard as he got sacked at least once per drive. They're trying to become more youthful which will pay off in the future, but not so much in the present. WR's take 3 years before they really shine, for example Devery Henderson, so Jarrett isn't the short term answer in my opinion.
And the Broncos should not beat out the Bolts. Rivers, Tomlinson, Gates, Neal, Merriman, Phillips, and Castillo all have something to say about that.

I agree with everything except the NFC East. Yes, partly because I'm a diehard Giants fan, but McNabb has done much lately for me to believe that he'll be able to lead them. Going way back, he choked in the Super bowl, and has had injury problems since. Not one big name in his receiving core and their defense has holes. But, otherwise spot on. I feel that the addition of Moss at N. England will be deadly.
