ACC with Pittsburgh and Syracuse

2012 is a pretty good year for ACC conference match-ups.  This is due in large part to the fact that Va Tech plays both Clemson and Florida State in inter-divisional play.

The most compelling conference games from a national perspective figure to be:

09/03 [Mon] - Ga Tech @ Va Tech
09/22 - Clemson @ Florida State
09/22 - Miami @ Ga Tech
10/06 - Ga Tech @ Clemson
10/20 - Va Tech @ Clemson
10/20 - Florida State @ Miami
11/01 [Thu] - Va Tech @ Miami
11/08 [Thu] - Florida State @ Va Tech

It would have been nice to spread them out a little better, but we basically have one big game every other week.

But what about non-conference games?  The ACC has a very impressive slate of Out-of-Conference (OoC) games as well for 2012-13.  It's a very challenging non-conference schedule for the ACC.  Of the "marquee" OoC games, 7 of them are on the road, 3 are at neutral sites which favor the other team, 1 is a neutral site which favors the ACC, and only 6 are home games for the ACC.  If the conference can get through this with a winning non-conference record (and if the other teams can avoid the big upset) this could be a watershed year for ACC Football.

The most intriguing non-conference games for the ACC include:

09/01 - NC State vs. Tennessee (Atlanta, GA)
09/01 - Clemson vs. Auburn (Atlanta, GA)
09/08 - Miami @ Kansas State
09/08 - Penn State @ Virginia
09/15 - Va Tech @ Pittsburgh
09/15 - N. Carolina @ Louisville
09/22 - Virginia @ Texas Christian
09/22 - Maryland @ W. Virginia
09/29 - Florida State @ S. Florida
09/29 - Cincinnati vs. Va Tech (Landover, MD)
10/06 - Miami vs. Notre Dame (Chicago, IL)
10/27 - Brigham Young @ Ga Tech
11/10 - Notre Dame @ Boston College
11/17 - S. Florida @ Miami
11/24 - S. Carolina @ Clemson
11/24 - Florida @ Florida State
11/24 - Ga Tech @ Georgia

That's not all of the non-conference games, that's just the best ones.  For a complete breakdown of all ACC out-of-conference match-ups, please click on this link:
