This is about a school setting on the banks of the Mississippi River bordered by Ark. and Mississippi. The school is the U of M previously name Memphis State. Most folks that live in this area are UT,Ark,Miss.st.or Ole Miss fans.
The school is not on the map when it comes to football. Recriuting here against the giants is like Pofky the Pig catching Bugs Bunny or the Coyote caching the Road Runner. When the dusts settle the Tigers can get wants left.
Basketball is a different story. It is just the opposite here for hoops because the Bluff City is a hot bed for basletball talent. John Calipari came and help put this school on the national map before leaving.
Memphis is still known for Elvis,the Blues, and Barbecue. But for the U of M life goes on trying to survive and get a small piece of the wealth from the giants. It has to be real hard on them knowing that they are really the creme in a Oreo cookie and getting squeeze more and more everyday.
