I going to switch it around today and start with baseball.
My Blue Jays played one of their worse games of the season last night. Possibly their worse game of their franchise. The Oakland Athletics shut them out 16-0. The Jays starting pitcher, Ricky Romero didn't even last two innings. Awful! Just plain awful.
Other scores from yesterday and last night.
Pittsburgh beat the Chicago Cubs 3-2, Yankees beat Seattle 5-2, and the Chicago White Sox hammered Minnesota 8-2. Speaking of the Twins, they have placed right-hander, Anthony Swarzak on the disabled list with a mild right rotator cuff strain.
Philadelphia's Placido Polanco was placed on the 15-day disabled list with lower back inflammation.
Now to some hockey.
Dallas has signed Jordie Benn to a one-year contract.
Vancouver has signed Dale Wiese to one-year contract.
Ottawa has signed Stephane De Costa to a one-year, two-way contract.
Finally, Scott Piercy leads the RBC Canadian Open by one stroke (-8).
