Would Anderson Silva do well in the wrestling category in the Olympic games? His dominance of the MMA middleweight division is breathtaking but would he even make a dent in the Olympic games?
I know, maybe if he was a bit younger he could have competed against the world's best wrestlers. But that doesn't mean he would not be able to do that now at his present age.
How about the pound for pound best in the MMA right now? Jon Jones is young and is dominating the light heavyweight division. How about his chances?
It's too bad MMA fighters can't compete in the Olympics. Yes, they would have to adjust the way they compete but I don't think that would be a problem for them. Interesting!?

Anderson Silva is not a strong wrestler at all. He doesn't use wrestling to win his fights. Age has nothing to do with it. Anderson has strong Jiu-Jitsu but that won't help a lot in Olympic style wrestling where takedowns and takedown defense are paramount.
Jones has a collegiate wrestling background (national JUCO championship) so he'd at least have something to fall back on (to go along with his elite athleticism).
