I like to start off this blog by congratulating Rosie MacLennan of Canada for winning the gold medal in women's trampoline yesterday. Good Job Rosie!
Canada won two more medals yesterday. Ryan Cochrane won silver in the 1500 metre freestyle and the Women's Cycling team won bronze in the team pursuit. Congratulations to you all.
Well, American Michael Phelps finished his Olympic career with a gold medal as Team USA won the men's 4x100m medley relay last night. Japan won silver and Australia won bronze. After all the medals were handed at the swimming event, Phelps received a lifetime achievement award.
Now to some baseball.
My Blue Jays made a huge comeback yesterday. Down 1-0 for most of the game, David Cooper hit a solo home run in the ninth inning. At the top of the 11th inning, the Jays scored two runs and went on to beat Oakland 3-1.
I also watched the Miami/Washington game last night, the Nationals won 10-7.
New York Yankee's pitcher, Freddie Garcia got his 150th win today.
Keegan Bradley won the Bridgestone Invitational by one stroke (-13).
