Little Petey Pedroia and Adrian Gonzalez may be ring leaders and in the middle of this little Red Sox Cain Mutiny, but the real problem is much higher up - John Henry and Larry Lucchino.  No team in baseball except the Red Sox hold secret meetings between Ownership and the players to diss the Manager. This is a total screw up by Henry and Luchinno. The Sox ownership have caused this total embarassment to baseball becasue they do not trust their operations guys and manager  What now?

First off, John Henry has to decide if he is going to have a Manager with authority, or will have a paper Mgr that the players can walk all over at any time.  If the latter, then get ready for a revolving door of managers.

What should the Sox do now.

1. Put Crawford on the DL and let him get his surgery so he is ready for next year to either play for the Sox or be traded.
2. Put Ortiz on the DL --- he is not going to risk further injury to his achilles with no contract next year.    He is done for the year.
3. Put the entire team on waivers, and unload as many as you can  the people who need to go are beckett, Lester, Lackey, Gonzalez and Pedroia --- these guys are all malcontents
4. Rebuild

And call 2012 for what it is --- a lost cause.

Ahh, but the strawberries that's... that's where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist, and I'd have produced that key if they hadn't of pulled the Caine out of action. I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers...

And as for Pedroia - pants on fire Petey pants on fire

And as for John Henry's comment today that nobody ask for Bobby V "to be fired" Nope all they said is that they do not want to play for him anymore.

Hey John Henry -- you are like Petey P "pants on fire"

I wrote this on 8/7/12 and haven't seen anything yet that even hints at John Henry changing his mind.

There seems to be one person in this economy that doesn't have to worry about losing his job and that's Bobby Valentine. Although the Red Sox are as close to the cellar as you can get without actually being in the cellar all season, John Henry told reporters in an email, "....it is simply wrong to blame Valentine for the team's troubles, and we all share responsibilty." He also said there has been no lack of effort by the players.

Looks like someone has to put his big boy boxers on and deal with it.

Larry Luchinno when on the radio today and said"Bobby would be the Manager for the remainde of this season" It was telling becasue Bobby has a 2 year contract.

Bobby will be fired at the end of the season --- John Henry cannot do it now becasue it would look like the players made the call.

The guy that needs to be fired is larry Luchino --- holding secret meetings with players which diss the Mgr is LUDICROUS

As for the comments now coming out from the players and ownership --- liar liar pants on fire

If you want to get rid of the chief malconents - then that is Beckett Pedroia and Gonzalez --- Id trade all of them. Petey Pedroia in particular has been a real back stabbing lying snake this year ---- he is shift and untrustworthy

I am not a Red Sox fan. I may be a life long resident of Massachusetts, but I hate the Red Sox. I am, however, a Mets fan and am somewhat familiar with Bobby Valentine. I say somewhat because we've never been able to get too many Mets games on TV in our neck of the woods. BUT, if John Henry speaks ownerese like the NFL owners do, Valentine is toast and that would be a shame. Didn't think the Red Sox had that many prima donna players.
