The NHL owners have basically rejected the National Hockey League Players Association's proposal. Commissioner, Gary Bettman said yesterday in a prees conference the two sides are very far apart on the issues. This does not look good folks. What I can't understand is that the players acknowledged the fact that a salary cap should stay in place and are willing to take a pay cut. Yet, the owners do not think it's enough. It's obviously the owners haven't learned anything from the last work stoppage.

I managed to watch four ballgames yesterday. My Blue Jays lost 9-5 last night. Ricky Romero was the losing pitcher. In fact, this was his ninth straight loss. This guy is going down fast. He now has a record of 8-10. Not good folks. Not good.
