Yesterday was opening day for the English Premiere Soccer League and I actually got up early to catch one of the matches. Arsenal and Sunderland played to a 0-0 draw.
My Blue Jays twice had the chance to beat Texas with bases loaded in yesterday's game, but were unable to score any runs. The final score was 2-1 Texas.
I also watched three other games as well yesterday. St. Louis beat Pittsburgh 5-4.
Cincinnati won game one of a double-header 5-3 over the Chicago Cubs and the Cubs beat the Reds 9-7 in game two.
The Houston Astros have fired manager, Brad Mills and replaced him with Tony DeFrancesco,
Colorado's Michael Cuddyer re-injured his right oblique stain and was put back on the disabled list.
Finally, Sergio Garcia leads the Wyndham Championship by one stroke (-15) after four holes in the final round.
