This will be short, but wanted to say I was satified with the week one effort the Patriots exhibited. It wasn't perfect, but it is something to build on. The defense was impressive and its been awhile since anyone could say that.
Stevan Ridley was amazing and the offense seemed like its old self, Bradys nose will heal and Gisele likes the bruise, so welker didn't get thrown under the bus this week. Of course with only 3 reception for 14 yds, I'm guessing he wants to be more involved. It wasn't quite a balanced offense, but without a good running game in the past, passing was a priority. Now with a running game (crosses fingers), with Ridley and Vereen, who should be back next week, we could see more running.
As the season progresses I except more on the passing side and get Brandon Lloyd and the others onvolved, seemed the Pats were TE happy this week, so we'll see how the receivers will play a major part. Also Gronk better work on his spike after a TD...he won't hear the end of the "non-spike", "dropped ball spike"...
Never take a team for granted and play like its the super bowl....

Brady and Lloyd need to work on their chemistry. Dont'a Hightower seems to be living up to the #54 legend. Stevan Ridley was outstanding and sportswriters are calling this the year Aaron Hernandez breaks out. Things are looking good in New England!

Peter King seems to be impressed with the Pats as he writes in SI's Quick Change, "..... There's a good chance the Pats will never be bad again, in any of our lifetimes."

Have you ever woken up and said, "Man, I wish I could eat a cereal that packed the punch of a Rob Gronkowski spike to start my day?"
Well, person who never said those words, that cereal now exists. Well, no it doesn't, but there is Gronkowski-branded cereal coming out next week called "Gronk Flakes."
It will be available in Stop & Shop and online at plbsports.com. Some of the proceeds will benefit the "Gronk Nation Youth Foundation."
The cereal isn't supposed to hit shelves until next week, but some people have already started finding it in stores.
