It's almost certain now the National Hockey League will lock out the players starting Saturday since no progress was made in the last couple of days. Meanwhile, players continue to be sign.
The latest involves Nashville signing Jonathon Blum to a one-year, two-way contract. How do the owners expect the players to cut down on salaries when free agent signings continue on like this. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
Well, my Blue Jays lost again last night 3-2 to the Mariners. Ricky Romero suffered his 13th straight loss and Edwin Encarnacion hit his 39th home run of the season.
I also caught a couple of other ballgames yesterday.
Philadelphia defeated Miami 3-1 and the New York Yankees beat Boston 5-3.

If there is another lock-out.. NHL won't survive.. they're barely surviving now.. I've lost almost all interest in the regular season last year watching only a handful of games.. playoffs were great though.. if there's another lock-out.. I might stop watching altogether

I'm not going to wait around for them to come back. I'll start watching the NBA and NFL if the lockout continues for a long time. There's other hockey leagues i can follow like Major Junior or NCAA.
