As we're just one day away from a NHL lockout, free agent signings still continue.
Detroit has signed free agent Carlo Colaiacovo to a two-year contract and re-signed Justin Abdelkader to a four-year deal. Terms of the contracts were not released.
Washington has re-signed defenseman, John Carlson to a six-year, $28.8 million contract.
Dallas has signed Kari Lehtonen to a five-year, $29.5 million contract extension.
My Blue jays avoided the sweep last night by hammering Seattle 8-3. Edwin Encarnacion hit his 40th home run of the season and is over the 100 RBI mark with 102. Catcher, Jeff Mathis went four for four at the plate.
I also watched some Thursday Night Football last night. Green Bay beat Chicago 23-10.
