None of us really thought the Raiders would have a true shot at the playoffs.  But, I thought they would at least be competitive while rebuilding. Man, are we in for a long season.

The Raiders went 1/12 on third down today.  They had an average of starting drives on the 19 yard line (which is generous due to two decent starting positions). They were 0/2 in the red zone. They just can't score touchdowns.

I don't know if it's the ZBS vs. PBS, but McFadden has 54 yards on 26 rushing attempts over two games. He currently has an average of 2 yards per carry.  The past two years, in the PBS, he's averaged 5 ypc. In 2008 and 2009 under the ZBS, he didn't crack 500 yards in either season.

I wonder how long it will take before Dennis Allen decides the ZBS isn't working with the personnel the Raiders have. Asked today if he's committed to the scheme, he said "Absolutely. Absolutely. I have seen it work. Believe in it."

So, I guess we are in for some painful games against Pittsburgh and Denver.  I mean, they are going to be some ugly games.

The defense was horrific. Couldn't tackle a fly. Did you see Reggie Bush make three guys miss? Yikes. And Miami manhandled our line. Tannehill was barely touched all day.  In fact, the defense made Tannehill look like a damn world beater.  They were tired - and it showed.

Did I say it is going to be a long season?  Yeah.  Something has to give.  And no, Alch, we shouldn't start Pryor.

As always great blog LIHI.

Later this evening I will post a new blog regarding the need for Raider Nation to petition that Terrelle Pryor be the starting QB for the Silver and Black Attack.... it's only a matter of time, these are exciting times my feline friend!

Stormy, I totally agree about Hue. He needed to go - no doubt. But the one good thing he did was ask DMC which scheme he liked best and then he ran with it. To go backwards makes no sense.

Alch, to start Pryor would be to ruin whatever progress he's made thus far. It would ruin his psyche to play behind this line as it stands today. I honestly believe that.

LIHI, this kid is athletically talented and has gone through some rough times, he is mentally tough and take the abuse- do not fear the Unknown, rather let it take you on a funkadelic ride....

TP won't start until the end of this season, maybe the final 2-3 games. They need to get him 4-5 plays a game. Especially since the offense could use his skill set of running the ball.

You maybe stubborn, but we are finally knocking sense into IMO....

Raiders vs Chiefs could be either a close battle or an epic clusterfug this year.

I never said he wouldn't start at sometime this season. You are talking about starting him now.

It isn't all on CP though. He hasn't played badly at all. No need to start TP right now. McFadden needs to start running the ball better....for starters. The defense fell apart vs Bush and Miami.

Sure, you can say that if you look only at his stats. But he missed everyone high, took way to long to through to DMC on a sure touchdown pass, and his checkdowns are getting downright painful to watch.

If they start Pryor the Raiders are assured of a win.

It will be a close batter for an epic clusterfug.

I know Pryor is a special talent, but he's not ready.
