Day 5 of the NHL lockout and the league has cancelled preseason games through September 30th. Alex Ovechkin has said he may not come back to North America if or when the lockout is over. I won't miss him. His performance during the past two seasons have been dismal to say the least.
Now on to some baseball action from yesterday.
My Blue Jays lost both games of a double-header to the New York Yankees yesterday. They lost 4-2 in the first game and lost 2-1 in the second. One game note: veteran infielder, Omar Vizquel is now 41st on the all-time career hit list, overtaking Babe Ruth with 2874. Way To Go Omar!
I also watched the Pittsburgh/Milwaukee game last night. Brewers won 3-1.
Justin Rose and Tiger Woods are tied (-4) at the Tour Championship after one round.

Yes they do. I think they have them so teams can evaluate the rookies and young players in their system. They also evaluate the team as a whole too.

They have them to make money they charge full price but are paying the players per diem's and if they are like the Isles or Coyotes they play in cities like Saskatoon or at the homes of teams that sell out as they get a piece of the pie
