It's Football Friday and The stack is here with our weekly NFL picks. Through two weeks, we're 20-12 (10-6 each week). Not great, but not bad considering the crazy start to the year we've seen. Off to a terrible start after picking Carolina last night. What the hell was that Cam Newton? Terrible. Awful. How will the rest of the picks go for week 3? Find out now in "the stack" for today, Friday, September 21:
St. Louis Rams @ Chicago Bears 1:00 PM ET FOX
How will Jay Cutler and the Bears respond after last week's debacle against the Packers? The Rams will be game in this one, but unfortunately, there are coming into Chicago to face an angry Bears team looking to hush everyone.
Prediction: Bears 24 Rams 13
Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM ET CBS
C.J. Spiller is going to run wild this week. But the Bronws played the Bengals pretty tough last week. I think they have a lot of confidence going into this one. The Bills can't take them lightly. The Bills defense should be able to handle Trent Richardson and company, but an upset here would not surprise me.
Prediction: Bills 27 Browns 20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys 1:00 PM ET FOX
The upstart Bucs were ready for the Giants last week and they'll be ready for the Cowboys too. Dallas is eager to put last week behind them and they'll have an extra bounce in their step with this being their home opener. I think the defense will rebound and DeMarco Murray, Tony Romo and the offense will rebound. Plus I need Kevin Ogletree to have a big week for my fantasy team. If the Bucs win, it wouldn't shock me, and that could send the Cowboys into a freefall. They don't want that to happen.
Prediction: Cowboys 27 Bucs 20
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Jaguars looked bad last week against the Texans and quarterback Blaine Gabbert is a little banged up. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will have a good game and post a 2-0 home record once this one's over.
Prediction: Colts 23 Jaguars 10
New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins 1:00 PM ET CBS
This one is a toss-up, plain and simple. I don't like the Dolphins outside of Reggie Bush, but the Jets looked awful last week against Pittsburgh. Plus the Jets may be without cornerback Darrelle Revis. Will we see more Tim Tebow this week? Last week, I picked against my head and picked the Raiders to beat the Dolphins and that blew up in my face. Hope it doesn't this week.
Prediction: Jets 20 Dolphins 10
San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings 1:00 PM ET FOX
Randy Moss returns to Minnesota, where he had a brilliant career...his first time with the team. Hasn't played much this year, but I expect head coach Jim Harbaugh to use him more in this game. Good news for the Vikings is that they get wide receiver Jerome Simpson back after this game. That will help soften the blow of this blowout loss.
Prediction: 49ers 30 Vikings 13
Kansas City Chiefs @ New Orleans Saints 1:00 PM ET CBS
Don't think many people saw this game as a battle between two 0-2 teams. One team's season is going to be virtually over after this one. Unfortunately for KC, I think it's them.
Prediction: Saints 30 Chiefs 20
Detroit Lions @ Tennessee Titans 1:00 PM ET FOX
Titans running back Chris Johnson has 19 carries for 21 yards through two games. PA-THE-TIC! He may double his total in this game, but the Titans don't have nearly as much talent as the Lions do and the Lions secondary is getting healthier. Look for them to bounce back from a loss at San Fran last week.
Prediction: Lions 30 Titans 17
Cincinnati Bengals @ Washington Redskins 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Bengals should win this game. But they haven't looked great so far through two games this year. And they have the tall order of stopping RGII. The defensive injuries will hurt the Redskins, but I think they sneak this one out though a Bengals win wouldn't surprise me.
Prediction: Redskins 24 Bengals 20
Philadelphia Eagles @ Arizona Cardinals 4:05 PM ET FOX
Who would have ever thought both of these teams would be 2-0 entering this week 3 showdown? The Cardinals surprised and impressed a lot of people last week against the Patriots. The Eagles have won two one-point games this year. The Eagles will use LeSean McCoy a lot in this game and they'll come out of the desert with a win...by more than one point.
Prediction: Eagles 24 Cardinals 16
Atlanta Falcons @ San Diego Chargers 4:05 PM ET FOX
Thursday morning, I was thinking Falcons. But now that I hear their wide receivers are banged up, I'm leaning Chargers. I really think the Falcons are the better team. But Antonio Gates is returning to the lineup and Matthew Ryans is making his season debut. I think I may be leaning Chargers.
Prediction: Chargers 23 Falcons 20
Houston Texans @ Denver Broncos 4:25 PM ET CBS
The Texans look really good, even if the they've played against subpar competition so far this season. D.J. Watt will lead the charge as the Texans defense confuses Peyton Manning and the Texans win this game.
Prediction: Texans 27 Broncos 23
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Oakland Raiders 4:25 PM ET CBS
Carson Palmer has looked really good through two games, but his team is 0-2. That means Darren McFadden isn't having as big of an impact as he should. Ben Roethlisberger is carrying the Steelers and he will carry them again.
Prediction: Steelers 20 Raiders 13
New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens 8:20 PM ET NBC
The game of the week. The Patriots were shocked by the Cardinals last week and without Aaron Hernandez, questions abound about the role of Wes Welker's role with the Patriots. While that won't distract the Patriots, until they get Welker back in his normal role, they will struggle.
Prediction: Ravens 23 Patriots 20
We'll see how we do. So far, it hasn't been great.

Can't disagree with your picks, Stack. I'd like to, but I can't. Everything I've read about the Welker situation in NE points to a trade sometime soon. When they got Julian Edelman everyone called him a "mini-Welker" and whether it's Bill telling Josh what he wants, or Welker just not fitting into Josh's offensive scheme is anybody's guess. But what is known, Welker isn't getting called on as much this year.

Ouch Belicat...to both my picks and the Pats loss. Tough pill to swallow I'm sure.
