Day 6 of the NHL lockout and no signs of both sides getting together.
The Washington Nationals clinched a playoff spot last night by beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1. This is the first time a Washington D.C. based team has clinched a playoff spot since 1933 when they played in World Series, known then as the Senators.
Another team also clinched a playoff spot last night. The Cincinnati Reds got themselves in the playoffs by defeating the Chicago Cubs 5-3.
As for my Blue Jays, they got swept by the New York Yankees by losing 10-7.
Yesterday afternoon, I watched a very entertaining game between the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians. Cleveland won in extra innings 4-3.
I also watched some Thursday Night Football last night between the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers. Giants won convincingly 36-7.
