Day 21 of the NHL lockout and nothing new to report.
Poor Texas. I kind of feel bad for Rangers fans today. As you probably already know, they lost to Baltimore last night 5-1 in the American League Wildcard game. The past few years have been rough for Ranger fans. They saw their team lose back-to-back World Series to San Francisco and St. Louis. Then this year, the lost the American League West title to Oakland, after having a substantial lead on top of the division. Then last night, they were eliminated from the playoffs by the Orioles. Could this be end of the Ranger's success or will they rebound next year and go all the way? Only time can tell, guess.
Their was controversy in the National League Wildcard game last night. In the eighth inning, with bases loaded, it looked as if Atlanta was on the comeback trail when a routine fly ball drop between four St. Louis players. However, the umpire called the infield fly rule at the last minute. As a result, the Braves were unable to bring in any runs and the Cardinals went on the win the game 6-3. Atlanta is in the process of protesting the game.
Finally, Ryan Moore is leading the Shriners Open by one stroke (-18) after 15 holes in the third round.
