Speculation in New York is that the Mets will be in on the Carlos Zambrano sweepstakes if he doesn't re-sign with the Cubs. Zambrano told SI.com in spring training that he would play for the Mets before the Yankees because he likes to hit and pitchers don't bat in the American League.
