Day 59 of the NHL lockout. The Toronto star is reporting that the players are thinking of bringing in a mediator to help them solve the labour dispute.
Meanwhile, Pascal Leclaire 30, of the Columbus Blue Jackets has decided to retire from hockey due to a recurring hip injury.
There was one hockey game last night. The OHL All-Stars beat the Russian Selects 2-1. The Russians head out west to face the WHL All-Stars tomorrow.
Now to some baseball.
The Rookie of the Year trophies have been handed out. The winner for the American League was Mike Trout, which isn't much of a surprise and Bryce Harper was the winner for the National League which also was no surprise.
Dante Bichette has become the new hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies.
The Chicago Cubs have signed pitcher, Scott Baker to a one-year, $5.5 million contract today.
St. Louis have parted waver with reliever, Kyle McClellan today.

LeClaire I thought he was going to become a solid keeper than he got hurt Mason was in the zone and they shipped Pascal off to Ottawa never really to be heard from again too bad
