08:55 PM ET  11.13 | Well! After coming back from my weekend stomp, I come back to find out that the Lakers have fired Brown and hired D'Antoni. That 1 and 4 start didn't sit well with the Lakers brass. It looked like the writing was on the wall for Brown. Now D'Antoni Takes over and the sports media is going insane on why the Lakers did't hire Uncle Phil. One of the reasons why Uncle Phil is not the coach is after consulting with Kobe , they went with D'Antoni. Another reason is That Nash and D'Antoni have a good relationship (going back to Phoenix) and D'Antoni has a good relationship with Kobe (Olympics Championship). But the Main reason why D'Antoni is the coach is that (unlike Brown) D'Antoni will let the players play similar to Uncle Phil. One difference is D'Antoni's offense is more up tempo. The bench should be eager to Play in the D'Antoni run and gun offense. Don't worry about the defense. Have you watched the last two games the Lakers have played? DEFENSE! As a matter of fact, Bernie Bickerstaff and crew looked pretty good coaching the last few games. The bottom line is Brown was chocking the players free flow style with a "whack Princeton offense". So as the Lakers soap opera turns, The rumors continue to flood the internet: Uncle Phil turned down as coach because he wanted Jim Buss's job too!. Jim Buss and Uncle Phil shooting paper wads at each other during meeting. Kurt Rambis is mad that Uncle Phil was not hired as coach because he would be hired as an assistant. Dave Miller and James Worthy saying "We can coach this team. Just let them play!. Jim Buss calling his sister bad names. Jerry Buss saying "YOU GUYS NEED TO CHILL!" JUST PLANE BASKETBALL MIND FREEZE.
