Of course, the big news of the day is the potential 12 player trade between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Miami Marlins.
In this trade, the Jays will get Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson. Gold Glove winner Mark Buehrle, John Buck. and Emilio Bonifacio. The Marlins will get Yunel Escobar (good riddance), Henderson Alvarez (another player I will not miss), Adieny Hechavarria, Jake Marisnick, Anthony Desclafani, and Jeff Mathis. The Cy Young winners have been announced. David Price won for the American League and R.A. Dickey won for the National League. Dickey is the first knuckball pitcher to win this award.
Davey Johnson has won the National League Manager of the Year award.
