The Stack is finally back on this Friday after a couple days of busy, busy busy and getting over an illness. Not going to destroy this birthday today. Quarter of a century. But it's Friday, and that means it's time to pick some NFL games. Off to a good start with Buffalo winning last night. They beat the Dolphins 19-14. Will the success continue? Time to preview some games and make some picks for week 11 in the NFL for today, Friday, November 16:
Arizona Cardinals @ Atlanta Falcons 1:00 PM ET FOX
I'm not sold that Arizona has figured out how to fix their offensive line and quarterback problems in two weeks. And Atlanta sure is looking forward to bounce back after their first loss of the year last week.
Prediction: Falcons 27 Cardinals 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers 1:00 PM ET FOX
I really want to take the Panthers in this one. Cam Newton and company should be pumped for this game, but right now, the better quarterback in this game is Josh Freeman and he is on the other team. Oh yeah, Doug Martin helps too. Won't surprise me if the Panthers win.
Prediction: Bucs 30 Panthers 20
Cleveland Browns @ Dallas Cowboys 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Cowboys finally played up to their potential last week and got a
win on the road against the division rival Eagles. Finally they come
home for a heavy home slate of games in the second half of the season.
And their first opponent is the Browns! The
Cowboys shouldn't try to make any mistakes, but they can make a couple
and still get by and win this game.
Prediction: Cowboys 27 Browns 13
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions 1:00 PM ET FOX
Lions offense should be licking their chops facing a Packers squad without some key defensive players including Clay Mathews. Too bad they don't get going until the third quarter. By that point, the Packers should be up by three touchdowns. Won't shock me if the Lions win, but...
Prediction: Packers 31 Lions 20
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans 1:00 PM ET CBS
Are the Texans prime for a letdown agains the 1-8 Jaguars? They may start off a little slow, but in a word...NO!
Prediction: Texans 27 Jaguars 10
Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City 1:00 PM ET CBS
Speaking of possible letdowns, are the Bengals going to suffer a letdown after last week's big win over the Giants last week. Yes. The Chiefs played much better last week and you have to think they'll win another game at some point, but it won't be this week.
Prediction: Bengals 24 Chiefs 16
New York Jets @ St. Louis Rams 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Jets "anonymous" player that ripped Tim Tebow will probably be the same player that rips the Jets after they lose to the Rams.
Prediction: Rams 23 Jets 13
Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins 1:00 PM ET FOX
This is a toss-up. Eagles look like they'll be without Michael Vick. That might be enough to tip the scale in favor of the Redskins.
Prediction: Redskins 23 Eagles 17
New Orleans Saints @ Oakland Raiders 4:05 PM ET FOX
High scoring offense against a defense that gave up 55 points last week. Who do you think is going to win?
Prediction: Saints 38 Raiders 24
San Diego Chargers @ Denver Broncos 4:25 PM ET CBS
First meeting this season, the Chargers blew a 24 point halftime lead...at home! They won't need to worry about that this time around, because they might not even have a lead in this game.
Prediction: Broncos 31 Chargers 17
Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots 4:25 PM ET CBS
Will we see a re-newed Colts-Patriots rivalry? Andrew Luck is going to have to play pretty good against Tom Brady for that to happen. He'll have a good game, but Brady and the Patriots will get this last laugh in this one.
Prediction: Patriots 27 Colts 20
Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers 8:20 PM ET NBC
With Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers would have won this game pretty easily. I saw Byron Leftwich though against the Chiefs. If I'm a Steelers fan, I'm not feeling very confident about their chances.
Prediction: Ravens 20 Steelers 13
