I think we're in for a week of upsets in the NFL. After Week 11 went so close to form it was painful (I actually dropped three spots in my pool after going 12-2!), my expectation is that Week 12 will bring some craziness back to the game.
Here are the World's Worst Football Picks for Week 12:
Detroit over Houston: I just feel this coming. The Lions are at home and aching to regain their form of last season. The Texans are vulnerable. (1)
Washington to beat Dallas: RGIII played within himself last week, hitting nine different receivers in going 14 for 15 with four TDs. I say he keeps it up and that the Redskins' defense does enough to throw fragile little Tony Romo off his game. (3)
Jests over New England: See what I mean? Craziness. The Pats are due for a let down, especially after eating Indy alive last week. New York, meanwhile, has everything to play for. Look for something of a defensive battle. (4)
Seattle to beat Miami: As I've said before, I think Miami's peaked and is on its way down. The Seahawks, meanwhile, are still battling for the playoffs. (11)
Tampa over Atlanta: That's one wobbly 9-1 team they've got there in Atlanta and I think the Bucs are a solid enough club to expose them. Don't expect Matt Ryan to throw five more picks but I think we can expect at least two this week, if not three. (5)
Titans to beat Jags: I feel like Tennessee hasn't played in weeks, don't you? The Titan offense is hitting its stride. (13)
Indy over Buffalo: Can you say "pride game"? Sure, the Colts will let New England walk all over them but the Bills aren't New England. And Indy feels it has something to prove here. And... it's Ryan Fitzpatrick, for cryin' out loud. (9)
Minnesota to beat Chicago: Upset special. Adrian Peterson will reach three figures while the Vikings' defense will blanket that Marshall guy. (10)
Pittsburgh to beat Cleveland: Charlie Batch can play some ball, as he's proven in the past. I think the Browns will underestimate the long-time backup and let this winnable game slip away. And, I think, I just have a suspicion, that the Steelers can play some defense. (14)
Denver over Kansas City: In my opinion, it would be the upset of the year if the Chiefs won this game. But don't worry, they won't. (15)
Cincinnati to beat Oakland: Second biggest upset of the year, if the Raiders win. They won't either. (16)
San Diego over Baltimore: It'll be all too easy for the Ravens to overlook this game against a still capable Chargers team, bracketed as it is by Baltimore-Pittsburgh blood baths. (8)
Arizona to beat St. Louis: Sorry Ram fans, I'm not buying the hype that your team has turned the corner. The Cards' defense will prove strong enough to pull this one out. (7)
New Orleans over San Francisco: One team playing for its playoff life. The other, coming off a big, signature win. Perfect recipe for an upset. (6)
Green Bay to beat the Giants: If they were playing someone else, I'd go with the Giants here since I expect them to start getting their stuff together. But it's GB and the Packers are on a roll so big not even New York's awesome pass rush can stop it. (12)
Eagles over Panthers: Just a feeling. The Eagles are too talented to continue to struggle so badly. The Panthers, meanwhile, have a sinking feeling after letting one slip away to Tampa. (2)
