I wanted to mention a few names we don't hear much when talking about the Patriots.  It seems that the offense gets most of the credit for wins and it is much deserved for that last win against the Jets, but we as Pats fans have come to expect that from our offense. Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen did a great job in the running game and as usual. The passing game speaks for itself with Vereen and Welker leading the way.

Now for the guys on the other side of the ball. Our defense was excellent on Thursday night. I know we take a beating on our offense being last in all the stats, but the only stat I'm concerned with is the score. Personally for me stats are for the HOF.

Steve Gregory returned a fumble 32 yd for a TD and Julian Edelman returned a fumble 22 yds for a TD and Rob Ninkovich also recovered a Jets fumble. Devin McCourty, Brandon Spikes, Alfonzo Dennard and Steve Gregory forced fumbles, 2 of which resulted in TD's. Jerod Mayo lead the defense with 8 tackles and 3 assists with one sack. Donta Hightower had the other sack on Mark Sanchez. The offense line held up great as Brady didn't get sacked the entire game.

I was impressed on how they played, but as one will undoubltely remind me, it was the Jets, so hopefully we can propell the Pats into the Super Bowl, afterall it is the ultimate prize.

Oh yeah, we did it all without the Gronk, but he will be back.....

As you said, it was the Jets, but it proved to our players on both sides of the ball just what happens when it all comes together. Hopefully it will all come together when they play the Texans.

Did you see Wilfork at the end of the game attacking that tur-duc-hen leg like he did the Jets offense? Brady wasn't sure if the thing wasn't an alien or something. lol

The game against the Jets was difficult to grade. I've heard of giving the game away but the Jets played like they had their heads in their teammate's ass for most of the game.
