If you're reading this, I question your sanity. Unless you're figuring to pick every game the opposite of the way I pick it: then you're pretty clever.

After a 4 and 12 week last week - I know, you got to try pretty hard (or be pretty stupid) to get 75% of your picks wrong - I have decided to close my eyes, accept my fate and offer Week 13's edition of the World Worst Football Picks without any further comment:

New Orleans to beat Atlanta: Even in a loss, there were some positives for the Saints. They actually played a little defense against San Fran. I see that continuing in a game they desperately need in Atlanta. (12)

Buffalo over Jacksonville: A heart pick. My Bills just gotta win another one at home for their brave fans. (7)

Indianapolis to beat Detroit: This is a form pick. The Colts have the better record. I'm nervous, though, because the Lions are good enough to win most games they play. (1)

Carolina over Kansas City: Oh, those poor Chiefs. They deserve better. They are better than their record. But the Panthers are emerging from their funk and playing well. (13)

Jests to beat Arizona: Did you know that this is the third week in a row I've picked the Jests? And I despise the Jests. Oh well. The Cards can't win if they can't score and I see the NY defense shutting them down. (6)

St. Louis over San Francisco: I don't like the games Harbaugh continues to play with Alex Smith, a quarterback who has given his all for the 49ers through bad times and good. I say the football gods punish the coach for benching the vet, with Colin Kaepernick's three turnovers making the diffence. (2)

Houston to beat Tennessee: If Hasselbeck were still starting, I might go the other way on this one. The Texans just haven't dominated recently but they're still good enough to beat a Titans team with a struggling young QB. (16)

Green Bay over Minnesota: The Vikes are too up and down for my liking. Look for a big offensive show here. (14)

New England to beat Miami: I really want to take the Dolphins here. I really do. I think they stand a chance, in fact, but not a big one. NE is just too dominant and scoring too many points. (10)

Chicago over Seattle: This is not a shot at Russell Wilson. It's just an acknowledgment that, when Jay Cutler is in, the Bears are a great team. (9)

Denver to beat Tampa Bay: Tough match up for the Bucs following last week's heartbreaker. We've all been talking about Peyton Manning and that Bronco offense but it's the Vonn Miller-led defense that is the big story in Denver. (8)

Cincinnati over San Diego: How many ways can the Chargers find to lose? I think the players will soon stop playing for that coach of theirs and it might start this week, especially if the Bengals' impressive offense puts up some early points. (11)

Oakland to beat Cleveland: I mean, somebody's got to win this one. Might as well support LIHI a bit and pick the Raiders. (3)

Baltimore over Pittsburgh: Okay, I haven't heard any official word either way but I am praying, literally praying, that the Steelers recognise that Ben Roethlisberger's life is worth more than this football game and this entire season. Keep him out, Tomlin. No game is worth the risk. Even if it means you have no hope against the Ravens. (15)

Dallas to beat Philly: I wish I could find any reason, any reason at all to believe the Eagles might be on the verge of turning things around. But it looks like Andy Reid has accepted the inevitable - that the season's over - and started to look to the future by releasing good but pricey vets to give the young guys some playing time. (5)

Giants over Washington: Best game of the weekend. I'll take New York and the suddenly Manning-like Eli. (4)
