It's Friday and The Stack is here to preview Week 14's NFL games and make some predictions. So far, 1-0 this week following the Denver Broncos 26-13 win over the Oakland Raiders. Broncos have now won eight games in a row and looking prime for a big playoff push while the Raiders have now lost six games in a row. Shocking! The Raiders playing bad football. Anyway onto the previews and predictions in "the stack" for today, Friday, December 7:
St. Louis Rams @ Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM ET FOX
The Rams played really good last week against the 49ers. Can they have a repeat performance against the Bills? Certainly. Will they though? That is the big question. The Bills have played much better at home and I think they can sneak out with a victory in this one.
Prediction: Bills 20 Rams 16
Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers 1:00 PM ET FOX
There has been a lot of trash talk between the two teams this week. While I can really see an upset here, I think the trash talking really has made the Falcons mad and focused and they will come in and get another W.
Prediction: Falcons 27 Panthers 20
Dallas Cowboys @ Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 PM ET FOX
This is a toss-up game. The Cowboys need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive as do the Bengals for that matter. The Eagles started off slow last week against the Eagles and they can't afford to do that against the Bengals. The better team right now is the Bengals, though it will not shock me if the Cowboys win.
Prediction: Bengals 24 Cowboys 17
Kansas City Chiefs @ Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM ET CBS
Been a tough week for the Chiefs though they did get a win last week. Browns are playing some really good football right now and going for a three game win streak. I think they get it.
Prediction: Browns 23 Chiefs 16
Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts 1:00 PM ET CBS
Is this a letdown game for the Colts after their big win last week against the Lions? Against the 4-8 Titans? I think not.
Prediction: Colts 31 Titans 17
New York Jets @ Jacksonville Jaguars 1:00 PM ET CBS
Unfortunately for Jaguars fans, they're not going to see Tim Tebow start at QB. They might not even see him play. Good news though for Jaguars fans is that with Mark Sanchez starting/Greg McElroy playing, the Jaguars have a very good shot of winning.
Prediction: Jaguars 24 Jets 13
Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings 1:00 PM ET FOX
Could honestly see a Vikings upset here. No Brian Urlacher for the Bears and their defense hasn't played great as of late. Adrian Peterson has been a stud for the Vikings, but he's doing it alone as Percy Harvin is on IR and Christian Ponder...well he stinks.
Prediction: Bears 27 Vikings 20
San Diego Chargers @ Pittsburgh Steelers 1:00 PM ET CBS
With Ben Roethlisberger starting this game, any chance the Chargers had of winning (which weren't good to start with) are gone.
Prediction: Steelers 27 Chargers 13
Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1:00 PM ET FOX
The Bucs have been sliding a little as of late. Good thing the Eagles have been on a worse slide.
Prediction: Bucs 24 Eagles 20
Baltimore Ravens @ Washington Redskins 1:00 PM ET CBS
Bad loss for the Ravens last week against the Steelers. Great win for the Redskins last week against the Giants. Baltimore may have the better team and I certainly think they should win this game, but their defense hasn't been very good and now they get to face RGIII and that running game. Good luck.
Prediction: Redskins 24 Ravens 20
Miami Dolphins @ San Francisco 49ers 4:05 PM ET FOX
The 49ers are going to be upset after their loss last week to the Rams. They have far more weapons than the Dolphins and will cruise in this one.
Prediction: 49ers 27 Dolphins 14
New Orleans Saints @ New York Giants 4:25 PM ET FOX
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin says the Giants' backs are against the wall and that they have to win out. They'll come out in this game with a sense of urgency and win though the Saints offense will keep them in the game going against the Giants secondary.
Prediction: Giants 27 Saints 24
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks 4:25 PM ET FOX
Losing one of their top cornerbacks in Brandon Browner would be a problem for the Seahawks if they were playing anyone other than the Cardinals with their QB situation.
Prediction: Seahawks 27 Cardinals 10
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers 8:20 PM ET NBC
The Lions pretty much just have Calvin Johnson at wide receiver. Yes I know they have a few others, but no one that will make much of an impact. Johnson will still put up numbers, but the Lions lose this one to a Packers team that needs to win to stay atop the NFC North.
Prediction: Packers 34 Lions 23
