The World's Worst Football Picks have been living up to their name of late and this week presents so many tough-to-call matches that I don't see things getting any better:

Eagles over Cincy: I was crushed by the Bengals' loss to the Cowboys and impressed with the Philly win. So that makes it an easy pick in this one. (1)

Miami to beat Jacksonville: The Dolphins are at home and the Jags can't seem to put together any consistency. (13)

Washington over Cleveland: The 'Skins have a division title in their sights and the only way the Browns win is if RGIII is significantly hampered by the sprained knee. (12)

St. Louis to beat Minny: I love Adrian Peterson and what he's doing on his comeback tour. But a one-dimensional offensive attack is not going to be enough to overcome an improving Rams team. (2)

New Orleans over Tampa: The Bucs can respond to last week's disappointment by either coming back with emotion or going completely flat. I'm not sure either approach will be enough to beat a Saints team that feels vindicated, angry and a little bit embarassed after recent performances. (3)

Atlanta to outduel the Giants: New York's performance last week was indeed impressive. But I don't see a lot of consistency from the Giants and I think Atlanta's got too much talent to lose two in a row. (4)

Houston over Indy: With these two high-powered offenses going at it and the Texans smarting from the spanking New England gave them on Monday, we should be expecting a shoot out. That's why I think this will be a 17-14 trench war. (14)

Green Bay to beat Chicago: I like how the Pack is playing. I don't like that Bears offensive line. (11)

Baltimore to beat Denver: I mulled this one for a while. Where I landed was: Manning and his team are in for a down day and the Ravens feel they have something to prove. Especially their offense, since the firing of their Coordinator would seem to announce to the world that the team's management is blaming the O for recent troubles. (5)

Seattle over Buffalo: The annual Toronto game, where the Bills give up home field advantage (in the form of freezing cold, blowing snow and absolutely fantatical fans) in order to try to build a market in quiet ol' Toronto. The Seahawks will benefit from the relocation and are too good a team to lose to Buffalo. (15)

Carolina to beat San Diego: The Chargers surpised themselves last week. They won't surprise Carolina. (10)

Detroit to beat Arizona: I don't think I'd pick the Cards to beat anybody in the league (or in college ball either) right now. (16)

Pittsburgh over Dallas: Does this match up bring back some memories, or what? Takes me right back to the '70s with Chuck Noll, Tom Landry and that great rivalry. Not quite the same now but still. I really really really want to the Steelers to win this game in Dallas. (9)

Kansas City to beat Oakland: This is a "you tell me" kind of game. As in, you tell me which of these mediorcre, inconsistent teams will win. I'm going with Jamaal Charles. (8)

New England to beat San Francisco: Wow. As we marvel at how well the Patriots are playing these days, let's also consider that they're in between taking on the top team in the AFC (last week) and arguably the top team in the NFC (this week). And, if they handle San Fran the way they did Houston, I don't see how you don't slate them as Super Bowl favourites heading into the playoffs. (7)

Tennessee over the Jests: Jake Locker needs to play better. But I hate the Jests so... (6)
