05:28 PM ET 12.13 | Day 88 of the NHL lockout. Labour talks broke off again between the league and the players yesterday. Why do they even bother. There was WHL hockey last night. Kelowna defeated Lethbridge 3-1. Now to some baseball. Josh Hamilton is no longer a Ranger. The Los Angeles Angels have signed him to a five-year contract. Boston have signed Ryan Dempster to a two-year, $26.5 million contract. San Francisco have signed Andres Torres to a one-year contract, pending a physical. The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired Skip Schumaker from St. Louis for Jake Lemmerman. After being involved in a nine player trade with Cleveland, you would think Cincinnati was finish reeling and dealing. Not so. The club has signed Jack Hannahan to a two-year contract. Texas have acquired Eli Whiteside from the Blue Jays. They also signed Brandon Snyder to a Minor League contract.
