Day 94 of the NHL lockout and nothing new to report.
Well, it's official. My Blue Jays acquired this year's National League Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey. Toronto also signed Ramon Ortiz and Ryan Langerhans to Minor League contracts.
Houston have signed Jose Veras. He will receive $1.85 million in 2013 with a $3.25 million option for 2014.
The Mets have acquired Collin Cowgill from Oakland for Minor Leaguer Jefrey Marte.
Milwaukee have hired Minor League coach Rick Tomlin as their new pitching coordinator.
San Francisco have signed Santiago Casilla to a three-year contract.
I watched some NBA action last night. The Houston Rockets defeated the New York Knicks 109-96. Top scorers: Houston - James Harden 28 pts. New York - Chris Copeland - 29 pts.
