Day 98 of the NHL lockout. 97 per cent of the players voted to dissolve the union. What does this mean? From what I understand, it means that the players one by one could sue the NHL for anti-trust violations if both sides do not reach an agreement sometime in January. All I can say is this situation is getting very nasty.
Meanwhile, there was AHL hockey action last night. St. John's edged Hamilton 2-1.
Some baseball to pass along.
Arizona has signed Cody Ross.
The Chicago Cubs have signed Nate Schierholtz to a one-year $2.25 million contract.
Cleveland have signed Scott Kazmir to a Minor League contract.
San Francisco have claimed Sandy Rosario off waivers.
Texas have claimed Jeff Beliveau off waivers.
