Really, why is video taping signals illegal in the NFL? Earlier this morning, I saw a topic about Goodell possibly letting video taping be legal in the NFL in Truth and Rmors, and the first thing that came to my mind was "That would be a stupid decision." But then, when I thought about it a little longer, actually a lot longer, I think that this rule should be a rule, no more.
Taping NFL signals doesn't give the team a HUGE advantage, it might give them a slight edge, but, like I said, it won't make a huge difference. The New England Patriots have done it for the past few years and they have lost a chunk of games to below-elite teams. As a defense, you will be able to call audibles at the right time, but this won't make a difference if the offensive team exicutes the play correctly.
So really, why is video taping signals illegal?
