I had a couple free minutes so I thought I'd give my take on this latest series the Braves had.

I really have to hand it to the Nats, they played well in this series and the Braves didn't.  I hate to say this but hey, when you lose, you lose.  The Nats pitching was solid, and the Braves starting pitchers couldn't do a thing past the fourth inning (with the exception of Hudson and Smoltz, although Smoltz took the loss anyway).  The Braves hitters were basically the anti-clutch, which is rare for them.  I don't want to put down the Nationals, but my take on this series was that the Braves got cocky.  They knew the Nationals were at the bottom of the division, and they went in expecting an easy sweep.  You can't do that in this game.  If you don't play your absolute hardest, there's a good chance that you will lose.  I think the Braves were by far the more talented team and they are a playoff contender, but if they get cocky like that it will be their downfall.  I don't think this will happen, but we've got to fix this now.  We're playing the Red Sox a couple times, the AL Central, and the Mets.  These guys don't give away wins.  Don't go in expecting to win, go in expecting a real game.  I still love the Braves, but that needed to be said.

Red Sox tonight!!  We don't have to face Beckett!!!
