Day 109 of the NHL lockout. The two sides are set to meet again today after the league presented a counter proposal to the players yesterday.
There was no hockey for me to watch yesterday, but there was a lot NCAA football.
Georgia beat my favourite team, Nebraska 45-31 in the Capital One Bowl, Stanford defeated Wisconsin 20-14 in an rather exiting Rose Bowl, and Florida State beat Northern Illinois 31-10 in the Orange Bowl.
A few baseball notes to pass along. The Chicago Cubs have signed Edwin Jackson to a four-year, $52 million contract.
Cleveland have signed Brett Myers.
Tampa Bay have signed David Price to a one-year contract worth just north of $10 million.
