It is hard to believe it has been 19 years since watching Major Harris blow by Penn State defenders and run and pass West Virginia into the National Championship game. I never in my lifetime thought WVU would have a faster, more dangerous, and dare I say better quarterback leading them. The fact is Major Harris was great, a phenom who was huge for West Virginia, but Pat White is a Champion. In all the wins he has had over the past two years, I believe his most impressive performance was one of their losses. With Steve Slaton wounded for most of the second half against Louisville, White carried these guys (porous defense and all) and nearly single handedly brought the Mountaineers back against Louisville. He did the same thing in the second half against Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl. Everybody knows Pat White is the fastest quarterback in the country. And with Slaton back there and now the young talent Noel Devine, there is no doubt this will be one of the most frightening backfields in the history of college football. West Virginia's defense will be much improved this season, and that amazing offense will be electifying again. Steve Slaton is spectacular and will compete for the Heisman, but just watching this team over the past two seasons, you know it is White's heart and desire to win that will make West Virginia the National Champions this year.

this blog brought a tear to my eye- the mere mention of the Major and knowing that we have RIGHT NOW at West Virginia THE best player in college football- Tim Tebow is great but I would take Pat White every time for the very reason you mentioned, he weighs 180lbs and 160 of it is heart-oh and by the way Jarrett Brown aint bad either
