09:57 PM ET 01.04 | Day 111 of the NHL lockout. Both sides met for the fifth day in a row today. I think that's a record folks. Meanwhile, there was OHL hockey action last night. Sault Ste. Marie defeated Ottawa 4-1 and Oshawa beat Brampton also by a score of 4-1. A lot of baseball to get to. Milwaukee have signed Cole Garner to a Minor League contract. Houston named former players Morgan Ensberg, Adam Everette, and Vince Coleman to their Minor League field staff. Baltimore have claimed Luis Martinez off waivers. Texas have announced that Eli Whiteside has cleared waivers and has been outright to Triple A. The New York Yankees have claimed Russ Canzler off waivers. The Houston Astros have hired former Blue Jay broadcaster, Alan Ashby to be their new announcer.

My prediction is 3-5 days after the cancel the season they will reach a deal and play there will be a record amount of 1 season contracts as they fill the rosters with the available free agents who will be pissed with the contract and they'll stage a coup and oust Fehr
