Out of all the major sports, I have to say hockey is the only sport that went through more labor disputes than one can remember. Does it give a black-eye to the NHL? No, but a platform for the other major sports to try and avoid.
It should be at least ten years before the NHL will have to sit down with all parties and settle another labor dispute, but finally the puck can be dropped and play can start. The NHL offers so much excitement and many die-hard hockey fans have been waiting for this day.
