Houston Oilers linebacker John Grimsley died after accidentally shooting himself while cleaning his gun.  He was an All-Pro and played 10 years.  This is a tragic death of a wonderful football player and family man.  He will be sorely missed.  But it makes you think about the shortness of life, and how we must live it to the fullest.  Enjoy it.  Savor it.  Cherish it.  And with what time we have on earth, we must be wokring to make it a better place, not only for ourselves but for our family, friends, and community.  Every day people die that dont have fame and fortune and nobody hears about it.  And it is these people that change the world.  People like you and me.  So I invite each and everyone to, for at least one day each week, reach down deep inside and try to make the world a better place.  Whether you know it or not, you will be touching somebody's life, making them smile.  Those tiny steps lead to bigger steps.  We talk about peace on earth and changing the world.  It begins with us.  people like you and me helping others.  So as we reflect on the tragic loss of Grimsley's life and on his untimely death, I invite you to remember those who are left behind on this earth.  We dont know when we will die, and so we must live like we were dying.  And change the world one small step at a time.
