The players overwhelmingly ratified the new CBA, which officially ends the 113 day lockout. Training camps open today and the season starts on Saturday.
One other hockey note, the Philadelphia Flyers signed Kurtis Forster to a one-year contract. The team also traded Minor Leaguer Luke Pither for Brian Boucher and prospect Mark Alt.
I watched some NCAA hockey action last night. The Army and Air Force match up ended in a 3-3 tie.
The Baltimore and Denver game was a good one. The Ravens came back to beat the Broncos in overtime 38-35.
Only one baseball note to pass along. Philadelphia has signed Rodrigo Lopez to a Minor League contract.
