I would like to talk about the current state of the Chicago Bulls. I, like many Bulls fans, am disappointed this season to say the least. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I have a few ideas. 1) Draft picks- I know h/s is 20/20 but how can you make the wrong move every time? Lets start with the most resent Noah, don't get me wrong with the players left on the board this was the right pick,however I would have liked to see the bulls package this pick with other players to obtain a star player ( Garnett ) or some big man that can score. Which brings me to my next draft issue L. Aldridge traded for T. Thomas and V. Khryapa. This was a Homer Simpson mistake, Aldridge is scoring over 18 a game and pulling down 8-9 rebounds a game. I know Aldridge was called soft in college, however, I saw Thomas play many times at LSU and I hardly new he was on the floor most of the time. Ben Gordon was always a 2 guard and only 6'1" that didn't play D.- K. Hinrick is a nice player but they should have drafted D Wade! The Bulls let Miami jump two spots in front of them to steal Wade with the fifth pick and we got Kirk ( a tweener ) at seven. I know the Bulls lost Jay Williams months before but lets face it their both play sooting guard. Last but not least the 2002 draft when the Bulls took T. Chandler with the second pick and Eddie Curry with the fifth. Paul Gasol ( whom the Bull were trying to trade for ) was chosen third and Jason Richardson ( who is a five inch taller and better defender than Gordon ) was chosen forth. If the Bulls would have gotten the MS stud and the Gasol rather than the baby bulls I would have to think we would have been better off! 2) Trades- I know that money and payroll have a lot to do with it, but when I see Gasol get traded for K. Brown and Garnett for Al Jefferson and bums I have to think that the Bulls could have made one or both of them happen.
