January 15, 1988. Twenty-five years ago today, the world's largest rat-bastard, Bill Bidwill announced that he was moving the football Cardinals out of St. Louis and relocating them to Phoenix.
This is my fifth annual blog on this website commemorating the event, and reminding the world what a low-class sleazeball Bidwill was then and still is today.
On the day of the announcement, the fat S.O.B. said that moving to Phoenix would "allow the Cardinals to be competitive". Wrong. The Cardinal franchise's lack of competetiveness has NEVER been about location. It's always been about the fact that the idiot Bidwills were the ones making the football decisions. Monumental levels of incompetence like what the Bidwills have given to Cardinal fans and the NFL can not be hidden or lessened by a franchise move.
I'm again observing a moment of silence for my beloved Cardinals, who will always be St. Louis to me.
You still suck, Bill.

Fans of the Baltimore Colts feel your pain, bro. At least the Cards didn't fold their tents and disappear in the late night/early morning hours like a bunch of bail jumpers. Cheer up, Bidwell's can't own the team forever....can they?

Yeah, I get that a lot of other towns have felt that pain, too. I don't know.....they just might.
