05:59 PM ET 01.25 | And I thought Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. was a class act. IMO he has been swamped by false glory. Everyone knows Danica Patrick is not much more than a media-built female driver. Oh, she's the hot ticket with all the sexy Go Daddy ads. Wait till you see the Super Bowl ads. NASCAR has dropped to their knees in her mere presence and requires their racing analysts do the goo, goo drool as well. IndyCar learned their lesson - Patrick doesn't live up to the hype. Hype for a racing series come from 'real' drivers, competitive drivers, not from media hype of an also ran.

Is this just a story of an older woman, by five years, seducing a young, hot dude? Or, is there some sadistic media oriented contravention involved? God only knows, and, He probably doesn't want to be involved. The picture makes me sick.

Perhaps it's a conspiracy of some sort. Word is out that Stewart-Haas racing is looking for sponsorship for not only Ryan Newman's car but Tony's as well. Danica is a lock in with Go Daddy (but, the big but, she will still have to qualify, the 'gimme-the-freebie' is gone). Will Danica's Go Daddy super-hype save the Stewart-Haas team? We'll have to wait and see.

Will Danica make the field at Daytona? Most likely. Will she show a high level of skill? Most likely not. Will the media love her no matter the performance? Of course. Danica is like her friend Obama - both on the same fake path to never-never-land.

Let the racing begin.

I was disappointed to hear Ricky was dating Danica........I don't care that she is 5 yrs older, but her life experience is more intense than his is........will "catching up" and "learning about life" from her help him.....probably not.

What happens after the race, if she accidently puts him into the wall?....or pushes him into another car?....how romantic is that going to be?

Stenhouse has shown some very good potential....I hope being involved with her does not drag him down, results wise.

Another issue, is that driver relationships work because both are focused on one driver's racing needs........her ego, her temper, her need for attention, her need to be the star and all those other lovely flaws of hers, could make for one horrible year for Stenhouse.

It may sound like I hate Danica but that is not really the case......Iy would be great, if she raced well and clean and earned her hype.....she has a long way to go.

I don't think this is any media hype or even a cougar act on her part.......my take on it is that, he was probably in the wrong place at the wrong time.......(ie) being the nice kid that he is, he befriended her, when other drivers could not be bothered.......even Jr knew enough to keep his distance from her....except in commercials.
This "romance" will make it interesting this season, at least for the first few races.

I look for Danica to have some moderate success this season. Her best chances to win I think are at Daytona and Talladega, mainly because of their crapshoot nature, and that she has run well in both places at times.

As for the relationship to me that is a non-story created by the media during a slow off season. So let's move on nothing to see here!

I gag every time I hear about this romance. too much nonsense about it. they need to talk about racin.if they don't last they will both look like fools. she's actin like that Paris Hilton tart.
