07:49 PM ET 01.25 | My Leafs last night looked as if they were going to get their first back-to-back wins this season as they led the New York Islanders 3-1 in the first period. In a blink of an eye, though, the Isles scored three unanswered goals in the ladder half of the second period. The Leafs would go on to lose 7-4. Speaking of the Leafs, they have sent Jake Gardiner back to the Minors. Philadelphia has lost both Scott Hartnell and Andrej Meszaros for a while. Hartnell will be out for four-to-eight weeks with a broken first metatarsal in his left foot. Meszaros will be out four months due to broken shoulder. Now to some baseball. Milwaukee's slugger, Corey Hart will be sidelined for four months as he underwent knee surgery today. The Chicago Sox signed Matt Lindstrom to a one-year contract with a club option for 2014. Kansas City have claimed George Kottaras off waivers. Tiger Woods, yes folks, Tiger Woods, leads the Farmers Insurance Open by two strokes (-11) after two rounds.
