It's been a long time since I've been on this site, well over three months, and wasn't able to talk all the crap that other Giant lovers enjoyed. So, real quick, YAAAAAA!!!! For a whole year every other fan of a different NFL team has nothing to say when the Giant's become the topic. Pat's didn't perform, ref's called a decent game, and the outcome was one that will go in the history of the NFL as one of the Greatest. Toppling the behemoth that was the Pat's is one the greatest accomplishments ever. No one gave them a chance, even going as far as to say "Why play the Game?" Well this is why the game is played, any given Sunday ladies and gentleman. Though, the commercials were lame, tired ideas and no real imagination, even Bud Light didn't perform and they are usually some of the best.
Now, on to the off-season. The Giants dodged a huge bullet when Spagnuolo decided to stay with the Big Blue, bigger than huge, perhaps saved next years season from turning into another Buccaneers or Ravens. The Giant's should keep Coughlin a few more years than promote that man to Head Coach. He is the reason that the Giant's are wearing huge gold rings, yes Manning played well, but with the constant pressure on Brady, there was nothing the Pretty Boy QB could do. I do believe that the G-men should trade Shockey for some draft picks, the outstanding rookie Boss did just as well as Shockey and they could use some young talent elsewhere on the team. But I'm not holding my breath on that one.
It had been seventeen years since the Boys in Blue had hoisted a trophy over their heads and were the talk of the Big Apple, seventeen years of "What Now?" Seventeen years of listening to other fans talk about how great their respective teams were. Then hearing the talk of how great the Patriots were, don't think I'm a blind hater, the Pats are a fantastic team and if retain everyone have a better shot of getting back to the promised land next year, but right now, they have nothing to say but "What Now?"
Thanks for reading, Fannation. And for all those who know me on this site, I'm back in the saddle.
