The Lakers are in Minnesota for another must win game against the Timberwolves. Howard is out with a sore shoulder but the Lakers have enough talent to come out of Minnesota with a win. Gasol will start at center, and Robert Sacre should see some extended minutes. This road trip will make or break the Lakers season. I would like to see the Lakers rest Howard until Feb 5^th when they play the Nets. The Lakers can regain a little momentum with a win. The next game after Minnesota is a Sunday morning game against the Detroit Pistons. The Lakers are four games out of a playoff spot. It looks like a 3 team race for the last playoff spot with Houston at the 8 spot followed by Portland a half game back, and the Lakers 4 out. Dallas is looking more like a spoiler team than a playoff team, which can help the Lakers in the long run. The "MIND FREEZE RUMORS" are everywhere!
