08:42 PM ET 02.08 | Well, my Leafs won their second game in a row last night, winning 3-2 over the Winnipeg Jets. Phil Kessel finally scored his first goal of the season. In fact, it was the winning goal. In other hockey news, Detroit has recalled Joakim Andersson from the AHL and placed net minder Jonas Gustavsson on Injury Reserve (IR) for an injured groin. Calgary have recalled Ben Street from the AHL. Edmonton has recalled Chris VandeVelde from the AHL and placed Anton Lander on the IR. with an injured foot. Philadelphia have signed Kimmo Timonen to a one-year contract extension. Now to baseball. Arizona have signed ex-Blue Jay, Aaron Hill to a three-year, $35 million contract extension. Miami have signed Chone Figgins to a Minor League contract. St. Louis have signed David Freese to a one-year contract extension. The Los Angeles Dodgers have Mark Lowe to a Minor League contract. Finally, Ted Potter, Jr. and Brandt Snedeker are tied (-8) for the lead at the National Pro-Am after two rounds.
