The Montreal Canadiens almost blew it last night against Tampa Bay. The Canadiens had a 3-0 lead going into the third period. The Lightning scored three goals with less than two minutes to go in regulation. The game went to a shoot out, in which Montreal won 4-3. As a Leaf fan, it's nice to see Montreal struggling, especially when they re-signed goal tender, Carey Price to a six-year, $39 million contract in the off season. What a spaghetti strainer he's turned out to be.
I also watched the Philadelphia/Winnipeg game last night. The Flyers won 3-2.
All in all, both games were not great to watch. The calibre of hockey was very sloppy.
Only one baseball note to pass along. Seattle have signed Joe Saunders to a one-year Major League contract.
