07:20 PM ET 02.18 | I don't get blogs where your acting as a reporter and covering a big story, a story that has been widely reported on before any reader gets to your blog.

Add something, make it interesting your are not 'Breaking News' that has already been done by this website.

Write about something you are familiar with that SI or ESPN is over looking or just not covering.

Cover something local to your area, anything that sets the story apart from all the paid reporters.

Heck just write about a great sports bar in your town or maybe the local fanatics traditions.

Regurgitating a news story is not really writing a blog, it is just worthless, write something interesting, something that makes people want another story from you.

Jerry Buss died today, maybe you met him in your lifetime or know someone who did, now that would be interesting to hear about. We don't need to hear the tragic news again.

Absolutely, HIP. You yourself read like there are some nifty posts just waiting to be written. Here's one to mull over: 'Russ Wilson, pocket-pro, run-QB or multi-man.' That was off-the-cuff, but you get the idea.
